I made my way from Ravenshoe to the free campsite near Innisfail with a few stops along the way:
In direkter Nähe von Ravenshoe sind die "Millstream Falls", welche die breitesten Wasserfälle in Queensland sind. Zudem ist der kleine Wanderweg zu den Wasserfällen extrem angenehm zu laufen und schön gemacht.

Close to Ravenshoe are the "Millstream Falls", which are the widest waterfalls in Queensland. Not only are the waterfalls nice to look at, but also the walking track to them is nice to walk and beautifully made.
Von dem Parkplatz der Wasserfälle, kann man auch einen Rundweg laufen, der durch die Überreste eines ehemaligen Militär Trainingscamp des zweiten Weltkriegs führt. Auf dem Bild ist eine Feuerstelle zu sehen, um die sich zu Trainingscampzeiten, die Soldaten versammelt hatten, während den kälteren Nächten.

Starting at the waterfall parkinglot is also a circuit walk through the remaining ruins of a WWII trainingscamp. In the picture is a fire place, that was surrounded by a tent, in which the soldiers used to gather in cold nights.
Dies war die Stelle, an der die Fahnenstange mit wehender Australischer Flagge stand. Die Steine, die eine Art "T" formen, wurden damals ausgelegt, um die Laufwege deutlich zu markieren, d.h. es sind die original Steine, die von den damaligen Soldaten ausgelegt wurden. Man findet diese Steinreihen immer wieder entland des gesamten Rundweges.

This is the spot, in which the flagpole with Australian Flag used to be. You can still see stones forming a "T", which were layed by the soldiers, that helped built this camp. Along the whole circuit walk you will find parts, where there are still the original stones in line to mark the original walkways.
Die "Little Millstream Falls" sind nicht weit entfernt von den größeren Wasserfällen. Trotz dessen, dass sie nicht so spektakulär sind, ist es immernoch eine schöne Gegend, um zu entspannen und sich die Natur anzuschauen.

These are the "Little Millstream Falls", even though they are not as spectacular as the bigger falls, the area is still beautiful and good to relax and enjoy in silence.
Nach einem kurzen Stopp in Millaa Millaa, wo ich herausfand, das es nicht wirklich viel dort zu machen gibt (Es gibt ein Museum, zwei Cafés und eine Library), beschloss ich nach relativ kurzer Zeit zu den "Millaa Millaa Falls" zu fahren. Also auf dem Bild die Millaa Millaa Falls, die tatsächlich sehr schön sind! Wie man sehen kann hatte sich ein älterer Mann entschlossen schwimmen zu gehen. Ich habe absolut keine Ahnung, wie er diese Aktion überlebt hat, denn als ich meine Hand ins Wasser hielt, hätte ich genauso gut in ein Gefrierfach fassen können!

After a short stop in Millaa Millaa, where you could not really do much (There is a library, a museum, two cafés and a circuit walk around town), I decided to drive straight to the "Millaa Millaa Falls". So the picture shows the Millaa Millaa Falls and a very ... resistent ... person, that decided to go for a swim. I put my hand in the water to see how cold it was.. I might have aswell put my hand into a freezer, which means I have absolutly no clue how that guy did it!
Die "Zillie Falls" waren dann die nächsten Wasserfälle. Leider kann man hier nicht wirklich eine bessere Sicht bekommen, da es nur eine kleine Aussichtsplattform auf einer Höhe gibt und die Sicht auf den Rest von Gebüsch und Bäumen verhindert wird. Ansonsten aber auch eine schöne Gegend.

The "Zillie Falls", where the next falls on the way. Sadly there was no other lookout, from which you could see the whole waterfall. Theoretically the view from the platform would supposedly be alright, but trees and bushes make it harder to see. Other than that still a very nice area!
Ja, noch ein Wasserfall. Dieser heißt "Ellinjaa Waterfalls" und ist nicht weit von dem "Zillie Waterfall" entfernt, wie man auf der Karte am Ende des Posts sehen kann. Komplett anders, als Millaa Millaa Falls und Zillie Falls und auch extrem schön. Der Laufweg ist ein wenig länger und schlängelt sich einen Hügel herunter (und natürlich auch wieder hoch auf dem Rückweg). Es ist auch wieder ein netter ruhiger Fleck inmitten der Tablelands.

Yes, waterfalls again. This one is the "Ellinjaa Waterfall" and it is not far from the Zillie Falls, which you also can see in the map in the end of this post. Completly different to the other two waterfalls before, but also a pretty little spot in Queensland. The walking track is a little bit longer and leads you down to the waterfall winding its way through the rainforest.
Ein kleiner Schnappschuss von dem Hügel aus, auf dem die Mungalli Creek Bio-Dynamic Dairy liegt. Drei Jerseys, die auf de Weide grasen und ein wunderschöner Ausblick. In dem eigentlichen Gebäude kann man entweder Kaffee, Tee oder Kuchen essen, oder selbsthergestellte Produkte der Factory probieren oder kaufen.

A nice snapshot of the view from Mungalli Creek Bio-Dynamic Dairy. Three Jerseys chewing away on their paddock and a nice view on the hills further away. The actual attraction here offer coffee, tea and cake, but also selfmade products made out of the local milk, such as cheese, soaps, etc. which you can either try or buy.
Die Aussicht zur anderen Seite des Gebäudes. Einfach ein netter Fleck, an dem man seinen Betrieb haben kann.

Die "Mungalli Falls" sind unvermeidlich auf dem Weg zurück zum Highway. Jedoch sind sie nur mit ein wenig körperlichem Einsatz zu besichtigen. Ein steiler Weg für herunter zu den Wasserfällen, der anstrengende Teil, ist diesen Weg wieder hochzulaufen. Die Anstrengungen waren es jedoch wert, denn die Wasserfälle waren tatsächlich nett anzusehen.

The "Mungalli Falls" are on the way back to the Highway. even though it requires a little physical work to get to them and back t the parkinglot, the falls are really worth the effort. A winedy and steep walkway leads you down to the actual falls, the exhausting part is to get back up to your car!
Zwischen Mungalli Creek und dem kostenlosen Campingplatz, den ich anpeilte, lagen 3 weitere weniger bekannte Wasserfälle. Der erste ist "Nandroya Falls", dieser ist jedoch nur nach einer 2,5km langen Wanderung durch den Reegenwald erreichbar, was mich zu der Entscheidung bracht, dort nicht hinzugehen, da es bereits früher Nachmittag war.
Der nächsten sind "Tchupala Falls" und "Wallicher Falls". Zu beiden führt ein Wanderweg, der sich nach einer Weile gabelt und dann jeweils zu den zwei verschiedenen Wasserfällen führt. Ich entschloss mich zuerst zu den "Tchupala Falls" zu laufen (auf dem Bild zu sehen), jedoch wurde der "Wanderweg" immer schlechter. Und schlussendlich ging er entlang einer Klippe und war nur noch extrem eng. Als ich dann Sicht auf die Wasserfälle hatte, sah ich Treppenstufen, die wohl irgendwann mal zum Wasser herunter geführt haben, jedoch waren diese abgesperrt und mit einem Warnungsschild versehen. DIeses Schild erklärte dann, dass durch Regen und Natur die Treppen unpassierbar geworden sind.
Aufgrund der Kondition, in der der Wanderweg zum "Tchupala Falls" war, entschloss ich mich nicht herauszufinden, wie der Wanderweg zum zweiten Wasserfall aussah.

Between Mungalli Creek and the free campsite, that I was planning to end up at, where three more waterfalls. The first one was the "Nandroya Falls", but the walking track to those falls was 2,5km long, and since it already was early afternoon, I decided not to go.
Next two waterfalls were "Tchupala Falls" and "Wallicher Falls". One walking track started off leading into the rainforest and then split up to lead to each of the falls. I decided to go to "Tchupala Falls" (The falls on the picture) first. As I was walking along the track, it started getting slimmer and slimmer leading along an edge. When I got the first glimse on the waterfall the track was just about wide enough for one person to walk on it and at the waterfalls, there was a staircase, that led down to the falls, but the entrance was covered up and a warning sign explained that water and nature had destroyed the staircase and mad eit too dangerous.
Knowing the condition, which the the walking track to the first falls was in, I decided not to go to the second one.

Und endlich war ich dann an der kostenlosen Campsite angekommen und hatte diese nette Aussicht auf Palmen, Bananenplantagen und im Hintergrund die mit Regenwald bewachsenen Hügel.
